SCOTT JACKMAN is a graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, where he received his BA in Theater and was honored for his thesis film in Sony/AFI’s national competition. He continued his technical training in documentary and dramatic film production at the Vancouver Film School (Canada). In the years that followed, Scott worked in many aspects of moviemaking as an actor, director, editor,sound editor and camera operator. He first discovered his love for education while coordinating education outreach for the Seattle International Film Festival. Scott later brought his experience to the classroom and received several grants to help increase emotional/social intelligence for students with Autism. Currently, Scott produces promotional videos and personal legacy films. He also teaches a wide variety of educational and life enrichment programs for youth and older adults. Scott received an award at the 2014 Healthy Aging Film Festival and was selected to present his unique filmmaking method at the National Center for Creative Aging’s international conference in 2016. In addition, Scott writes original family musicals and directs music videos and animation. He believes that fun is infectious and continues to enjoy collaborating on projects with students of all ages.
